Deividas Baltuška

DevOps engineer keeping large-scale infrastructure afloat - from Terraform to production.

Scroll
01 / Approach

Infrastructure should be boring. The interesting part is everything it makes possible.

Right now I'm a free bird, enjoying the summer! Was most notably a DevOps engineer at Wix, working across AWS, Kubernetes and GitOps at scale. I like repeatable systems, honest monitoring, and testing things before production does it for you. Won a team hackathon building isolated dev environments that cut Ansible PR testing turnaround drastically.

About

05 / The human part

I got into infrastructure by breaking things on purpose, then staying to make sure they never break the same way twice.

Software engineering student at Vilnius University by day, DevOps engineer by… also day. I volunteer at PyCon Lithuania and occasionally give Git a personality crisis.

Off-terminal: I build side projects that scratch specific itches - from Etsy automation to a 16-bit CPU in Logisim. Building only by curiosity, or when it actually helps.

Off-the-grid: Love cycling, working out, photography, gaming, cooking, outdoors, design & vfx, fashion, cats, and trying out new stuff!
